Robila Basumatary, Baksa, Assam

In our village of Manikpur, situated in Assam’s Baksa district, our primary concern revolves around the accessibility of clean water, as well as the persistent issues of pollution and health-related challenges due to a lack of awareness. However, amidst these challenges, I have managed to establish a home center, where I provide invaluable training and skill-building opportunities, to empower women to attain independence and self-reliance. Alongside a select group of women, we have created a supportive network wherein individuals collaborate, learn, and uplift one another. I hope to not only initiate positive transformations but also aim to cultivate a sense of unity and empowerment within our community. Through this center I want to diversify into other businesses and support my family as well as community at the same time.
