In our community, many societal issues persist due to prevailing illiteracy, which leads to various superstitions and vices such as belief in witches, ghosts, alcoholism, tobacco and betel nut consumption, smoking, discrimination, and lack of awareness. These practices are widespread and deeply entrenched due to widespread illiteracy. People in our society, whether involved in government or non-governmental activities, are unable to benefit from any schemes due to their lack of education, which is the main reason behind the lack of awareness.
Local innovative initiatives undertaken by us have aimed to address these challenges. When we started our work, I collaborated with the rural people of my village to enhance their skills. Upon joining DEF, I motivated people in my vicinity to work together, and once the work was assigned, I initiated door-to-door visits to commence the activities. When the initiative to create Ayushman cards began, I engaged in household visits to facilitate the process.
Our community engagement activities focus on educating children according to their interests and preferences. We collaborate with our community members to execute various tasks according to our collective desires and efforts.
