Name: Parmila Devi
Village: Soso
District: Ranchi
State: Jharkhand
I am Parmila Devi from Soso village in Ranchi, Jharkhand. In our village, we face significant challenges regarding access to digital facilities. For basic tasks like photocopying, we have to travel a kilometer away, causing inconvenience and wasting precious time. Even for simple tasks like withdrawing money or seeking medical assistance during emergencies, we have to travel long distances due to the lack of nearby facilities and proper roads. One of the critical issues we face is the lack of awareness among the women in our village regarding digital marketing, online transactions, and the risks associated with digital fraud. It’s essential to educate them about the benefits and risks of digital transactions and make them aware of how to stay safe while using online platforms. Moreover, our village lacks proper digital infrastructure, making it difficult for women to access online resources and participate in digital initiatives. Therefore, there is an urgent need to address these issues and provide women with the necessary training and resources to navigate the digital world safely and effectively. I am committed to raising awareness among the women in our village about digital literacy and empowering them to take advantage of digital opportunities while staying vigilant against potential risks. By working together and promoting digital literacy, we can ensure that all members of our community can benefit from the digital revolution.
