About the Event:
Organized by Digital Empowerment Foundation, in collaboration with Centre for Development Policy Practice, Kautilya School of Public Policy, Centre for Women Studies under Maulana Azad National Urdu University, The Education Group(London). The Gender and Inclusion Conference: Exploring the Intersection of Gender, Technology, and Socioeconomic Empowerment aims to bring together scholars, policymakers, practitioners, communities and thought leaders to discuss the pressing issues surrounding digital inclusion and gender equity.
As technology rapidly transforms economies and societies, marginalized communities often face exclusion from its benefits. This event will critically examine the intersections of gender, caste, class, and digital inclusion, addressing how technological advancements can be leveraged for equitable social and economic empowerment.
The conference will feature paper presentations, panel discussions, and keynote addresses focusing on:
- Digital access and gender equity
- Technology’s role in economic empowerment
- The gendered impact of emerging technologies
- Digital tools for social empowerment
- Policy and governance for inclusive technological futures
Day 1: Paper Presentations & Technical Session at Kautilya School of Public Policy.
Day 2: Panel Discussions, Workshops, and Technical Session at IIIT Hyderabad.
Selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Development Policy and Practice.
