This was the first ever Digital Panchayat workshop held at Maharashtra spearheading through concept of Local Area Portal.
In this workshop, 50 Panchayats participated in 2day long activity to understand ICT literacy through the workshop training. In a short span of time after its first pilot workshop, Maharashtra incorporated the concept and 100 Panchayats were enabled by Digital Empowerment Foundation. Currently the project have given a virtual identity to more than 500 Panchayats across states in India.
