Goma Devi Newar
I’m Devi from Kabirnagar, Barmer, Rajasthan. In our small village, we face numerous challenges, primarily related to water scarcity and inadequate healthcare facilities. Despite the government’s efforts, water is scarce, and accessing it requires traveling long distances. Moreover, our village lacks proper medical facilities, forcing people to travel 5-6 km for even minor illnesses. To address these issues, I initiated a centralized system to provide essential services like healthcare and pregnancy assistance to remote areas. Through RCCE, I distributed masks during the pandemic and encouraged vaccination. Additionally, I facilitated the delivery of food kits from the gram panchayat to people’s homes.
