I reside in the village of Koyah, Hailakandi, Assam. One of the primary challenges we face here is the frequent power outages, making it difficult for us to access electricity consistently. Currently, we do not have access to an inverter, and the battery of the previous one got damaged. Moreover, I recently encountered a problem with my printer, which I had to fix using my own funds. I appeal to you to consider supporting us by providing assistance with rent for our shops, as well as electricity and internet bills. This would greatly alleviate the financial burden on our community, as the income opportunities in our village are limited. I have taken initiatives within our community to address some of these challenges. For instance, I established a community internet library where I teach basic computer skills to children. Additionally, I conducted sessions for women in the neighborhood on how to use ATMs for financial transactions, imparting them with essential knowledge on PIN entry and operation. These efforts have empowered our community members with valuable skills, enabling them to utilize technology effectively for their benefit.
I actively contribute to the community internet library, where I engage in teaching activities to empower individuals to become self-reliant. Whether it’s learning a trade or starting a business, I am committed to equipping people with the skills they need to succeed. I also provide training in mobile phone repair and have successfully taught ten individuals, five of whom have since opened their own mobile repair shops.
