Efforts are on for a new awakening in villages
Hajipur: Now every latest information will be available in the village itself. It is the situation after the opening of a Community Information Resource Centre in the Mansoorpur village in Vaishali block. Here, all information about the development of the village is available. Whether it is related to agri-matters, better health facilities, where the villagers can get good education, when shall the next Panchayat election take place, where development work is happening, how shall you get work under MNREGA, how to apply for getting an RTI, how to avail with government schemes, how to make radio spots and how will your business grow meaning.
This centre has the facilities of printing, scanning, weekly film screening, computer and Internet training. This centre is run by RaghavMahto, who had made a mark for himself as a private FM radio station. He, said that at this centre by Digital Empowerment Foundation all the latest information of world will be available at the quickest. The slogan for this centre is – Rural Knowledge in your village. Mr. Raghav told us that at present time there is no dearth of resources and facilities. There are many government schemes which cater to social needs of a man from being born to his death. Despite all this, the villagers are deprived of using the resources for the development of their villages, the sole reason being lack of information. For regional development, common people need to be aprised of government schemes or need good guidance. For this to happen, a centre had to be established with which a new awakening can be brought about in the village.
Side by side, some training had to be given to villagers in which they had interest. Mr. Raghav told that the digital world is now acting as social media. All the information is available everywhere. He told that this centre shall act as a connection between centre, people and government so that village can become rich and the country can be developed. He told us that at this centre, many people have already starting enrolling their names and many people are availing technical education.
