In Ratnapuran, Gaunaha, SP ‘Kanhaiya’ runs his ‘Soochna Seva Kendra’ with the prime aim of spreading information regarding government welfare schemes and benefits available to the needy. He also keeps a record of all the local people being linked with the government welfare schemes by him and visits the community regularly to mobilise people about visiting his center and linking them with these welfare schemes. Recently, during his door-to-door-visits, he found out that there are still few farmers who are unaware of these schemes. Neither did they have farmer registration cards, nor were they aware of the benefits after availing the scheme.
In order to apprise residents of various government schemes, a legal services-cum-empowerment camp was organised at the local level on 10th September. The camp was presided over by Kanhaiya himself along with another SoochnaPreneur of the village named Ashutosh. They informed the residents of Ratnapuran and surrounding villages about the schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisaan Maan Dhan Pension Scheme; Kisaan Panjikaran Card (Farmer Registration Card); Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana; Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Scheme and PAN Card.
Around 90 needy persons applied under these schemes assured by the government.
As Kanhaiya had already mobilised the community, more than 100 farmers gathered there, from the surrounding villages. Out of these over 80 farmers were successfully linked with the schemes.
The main objective of the scheme is to bring people and the government together on one platform.
