Artificial Intelligence has already entered various fields and is just going to be used more extensively in the coming days. Waiting for the rural population to reach the intended literacy rate and then introducing technologies like AI would just widen the gaps in the digital world. This would further leave the marginalized out of the digital economy without ever giving them the opportunity to explore. The AI for All program is designed to tackle this aspect for a more inclusive digital future.
The AI For All program is a self-learning online program that aims to make AI accessible to people and provide a great overview of AI and its possibilities, as well as concerns and ethics. The program is divided into two sections, AI Aware and AI Appreciate, which provide an in-depth understanding of AI and its applications. DEF recently conducted a workshop on “Artificial Intelligence For All” in Baghpat, aiming to raise public awareness about Artificial Intelligence and its potential to support people from all walks of life. The workshop was held in two colleges, DD Jaat College and Chaudhary Charan Singh College, with approximately 450 students participating.
The objective of the workshop was to raise awareness among the community members around AI and how AI can be used to support them in various ways. The workshop aimed to educate participants about AI’s potential to provide personalized learning, career counseling, mental health support, social media safety, financial literacy, and physical health monitoring.
Some of the main points that came up during the workshop were that AI can be used to personalize the learning experience for each student, adapting to their learning pace, style, and preferences. When it comes to career counseling, AI can help match youth with career opportunities based on their skills, interests, and personality traits. AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can provide emotional support and guidance to youth experiencing mental health issues. AI can be used to monitor social media platforms for cyberbullying and other harmful behavior, helping to keep youth safe online. AI-powered tools can help teach youth about budgeting, saving, and investing, preparing them for financial independence. AI can help monitor youth’s physical activity, sleep patterns, and diet, providing insights and recommendations for a healthier lifestyle.
AI has the potential to transform the way we support youth by providing personalized, accessible, and scalable solutions that meet their unique needs and challenges. DEF is committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable digital world, and initiatives like AI For All can help advance this mission.
