Kalle Bhai – A man of many stories
Anita Devi is from Angara in District Ranchi of Jharkhand. She used to run a dhaba with her husband. As the couple tried to make ends meets, the husband took ill. Dauntless Anita not only took charge of running the Dhaba all by herself, but planned to expand it further.
Today, she singl-ehandedly runs a small hotel along and sells Mahua products. The high point for her was when she got her first laptop. From someone who had never seen a laptop before to becoming an internet savvy entrepreneur, she successfully operates a CIRC centre next to her hotel. By making the right use of the digital tools provided to her, including a laptop and a printer, she wishes to boost her business and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the women of her village.
