I am Baby Devi, and I belong to Chandwa Village in Lohardaga District, Jharkhand. Our community has been facing significant challenges due to our jungle setting, including network connectivity issues and a lack of adequate transportation facilities. Recognizing the need for change, I decided to take action to address these issues head-on. I have raised awareness among villagers and disseminated information about government schemes that could benefit them. I believe that knowledge is power, and by empowering my fellow villagers with information, we can work towards improving our collective well-being. In Chandwa, where women were traditionally confined to their homes, I initiated a transformative movement. I formed a women’s group and encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and explore opportunities outside their households. Through this initiative, I aimed to empower women to become active participants in the community and take charge of their own lives. Today, women in Chandwa are engaged in various activities beyond their households, contributing to the overall development of our village. Additionally, I provided insights into the world of mobile technology, enhancing digital literacy among community members and enabling them to access information and services more easily.
