Here in my community, we face several challenges that hinder our progress. One major issue is the lack of electricity, which affects the education of our children as they cannot study properly without adequate lighting. Additionally, the absence of digital devices like laptops and computers, coupled with a lack of education, leaves our students unaware of job vacancies and other opportunities. Furthermore, accessing banking services poses a significant challenge, especially for women and the elderly who have to travel long distances to withdraw money, often incurring hefty fees. To address these issues, I initiated a movement in my village to promote education. Many parents were reluctant to send their children to school, so I engaged them in discussions, emphasizing the importance of education for their children’s future. Through concerted efforts, we succeeded in enrolling children in both government and private schools, ensuring that they receive a quality education. Moreover, to enhance livelihood opportunities, I became an agricultural mentor in my community. As an agriculture mentor, I educate farmers on best practices, including crop selection, cultivation techniques, and organic farming methods. By empowering them with knowledge, many farmers have adopted modern agricultural practices, leading to improved yields and sustainable farming methods.
