Shani Bai finds solace, knowing that the Soochna Adhikar Kendra in her village is there to provide her the right information and access to entitlements and digital services.
Shani Bai, a 59-year-old resident of Gram Panchayat Bhagwanpura, Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), recently shared her experience regarding the accessibility and convenience provided by the DEF Soochna Adhikar Kendra in her village.
Before utilizing the services offered by the DEF Soochna Adhikar Kendra, Shani Bai faced significant challenges in completing her old-age pension KYC. The nearest location for such services required her to travel a distance of 9 kilometers, which was both time-consuming and physically taxing. With limited transportation options available, Shani Bai often found herself spending an entire day commuting to and from the distant facility.
However, since the establishment of the Soochna Adhikar Kendra in her village, her situation has markedly improved. She now appreciates the accessibility and affordability of essential services provided locally. By availing herself of the facilities offered by the center, Shani Bai was able to complete her old age pension KYC for a nominal fee of Rs 40, saving her both time and resources.
Furthermore, Shani Bai emphasizes the broader impact of the center on the community. Beyond her own experience, she highlights the center’s role in addressing various administrative needs of the villagers, including photocopying and online application submissions.
The Soochna Adhikar Kendra program strives to bridge the information gap faced by rural and marginalised communities across India through digital means.
