The Resurging Value of Civil Society for Indian Crafts
Through this program I have built trust with my community and am happy to say that I have played a role in strengthening my village in its fight against COVID and misinformation.

“I have done wall paintings related to COVID-19 at various intersections of my village so that more people can see it. I have not limited myself to spreading COVID related information, in fact I have built a strong relationship with my community so that I can bust the myths and misinformation that they believe in. The youth in my village have stood by me and helped me in disseminating the right information to my community. This created a more positive environment in the village and people were more confident about fighting the virus off. At first when I would paint on walls I got a lot of opposition but then I explained to the people what they are about and how important it is to get the right information. Since then I had their full support and I have painted on schools, hospitals, in the market and also outside people’s homes. Through this program I have built trust with my community and am happy to say that I have played a role in strengthening my village in its fight against COVID and misinformation.”
