At present we are contemplating on business ideas with them which have a huge potential, can meet unmet needs of this region, leverage technology, upscale them and develop entrepreneurial nature in them. We are confident that we will see 2-3 ideas from amongst these getting off the ground and become full time business activity in the next 2 months. We have also launched Helping Women Get Online Program under the umbrella of Community Information Resource Center. The objective of the program is to generate awareness among the rural women masses about the benefits of Internet. Women are the target audience of this project and it aims to reduce gender divide when it comes to the access of technology and internet. Some of the topics that are being taught are why internet is necessary and how youth can leverage internet in education (e-learning) and connect with the outside world through social media. Each of the 10 girls of the W2E2 program is acting as a teacher for this project and in a way is sharing part of their learning with other women in Chanderi. Keeping W2E2 girls as teachers is helping us to keep the growth organic and without any outside support for trainers thus bringing sustainability in overall project. Within next few months we shall be able to create a wave, interest and curiosity among every girl in chanderi about the internet and how powerful it is a medium to connect to outside world and how people can leverage it in every sphere of their day to day life.
