Amid changing government regulations and economic slowdowns, it is of paramount importance for smaller nonprofits to overcome funding uncertainties and become sustainable organisations. In recent times, crowd funding has emerged as a great retail fund-raising tool to support short-term projects of NGOs. In an effort to introduce non-profits to effective crowdfunding platforms, tools and strategies, the eNGO Programme organised a one-day ICT Capacity Building workshop in New Delhi on November 19, 2017.The workshop demonstrated crowdfunding techniques and effective use of social media to complement online fund raising. Fifteen representatives from 14 organisations participated in the workshop.
Fifteen representatives from 14 organisations participated in the workshop to learn the potential use of digital technology and other applications for affordable, consistent and effective outreach. They were also made aware about the importance of relevant and strong digital content. Towards the end of the workshop, all participating NGOs decided to launch their respective fundraising campaigns with support from DEF.
The next eNGO workshop is scheduled for Itawah and Dehradun. Dates of the workshops will be announced soon on the programme website. For more information, call at +91-9717000843.
