In collaboration with UWD and Deloitte, Digital Empowerment Foundation is working towards spreading the information and digital services to deprived communities of Delhi and Gurugram, in the first week of December. Three CIRCs will be dedicated to the local community to provide digital educational information, information support system along with digital services in various domains such as health, education, skills, and livelihoods. The beneficiaries comprise of adolescent girls and women below 40 years of age. These women & girls can be school dropouts, School goers, College dropouts, Housewives, working as well as non-working women.
Training will be as per the designed syllabus/module on leadership development, information and government entitlement for livelihood benefits with a knack of how to access this information digitally. Training and workshops on the use of internet, technology and gadgets will also be provided. There are some important sessions on importance of girl child education, schemes for women and girls, RTI and digital access, RTE Act as well.
Networking with different business houses/enterprises for building work opportunities and building market linkages has also played an important role.
CIRC centers will strive to enhance growth and development rates in the social and economic status of women from urban and semi-urban areas of Delhi and Gurugram furthering digital and financial literacy with Media & Information literacy and Awareness workshops.
