The Rural India is fighting for air, water, food and essential. The numbers are increasing but the voices are still unheard. It is said ‘Prevention is better than cure’, but Where is the prevention? What steps are we taking to prevent the deprived from catching this deadly disease? People don’t have thermometers to check their temperature, families are starving because of no food, people don’t have masks and sanitizers to protect themselves from this deadly virus. Therefore, it is our duty to protect them.
Digital Empowerment Foundation has again launched an ICT-enabled and community-specific relief programme, “COVID-19 DIGITAL EMERGENCY RELIEF PROGRAMME 2.0” to supply relief across rural, marginalized, unserved locations of India effectively and efficiently through 1,000 digital centers and 10,000+ foot soldiers working as “COVID Soochnapreneurs” across 10,000 rural villages, towns, and urban slums.
