About DRTC

Digital Resource and Training Centre is a unit of Digital Empowerment Foundation formed under its programme Community Informatics Resource Centre. It was set up in the year 2009. The DRTC activities involves imparting skills and capacity building training in livelihood, educations and technology for children, youths and women. The centre has a fully furnished computerized set up with capacity to train 150 candidates and internet facility is made available,with expert trainers in the center.

There are many on-going training programmes, as follows:

  1. e-Literacy programmes for Adults, Women and Youths.
  2. Self Entrepreneurship promoting and skill building in key local and new professions like construction, wielding, software development
  3. ICT kiosk business management
  4. Computer trained skill building programme
  5. Hardware and Networking Course
  6. Rural KPO business management
  7. Horticulture business development programme
  8. Programme in rural and micro business banking
  9. Business development in English Training programme
  10. Business in web designing and development and content management systems
  11. Business programme in mobile and mobile applications
  12. Business development in content for development
  13. Development programme in multi-media, audio-visual media
  14. Business development programme in ICT for development applications
Process of enrollment:

The centre encourages for as many aspirants, youths, women to enroll in the existing course curriculum for their own benefit, DRTC encourages social and independent entrepreneurship out of the existing programme available at the centre. The training in these skills are to help the candidates build skills & capacity and knowledge for employability.
