With knowledge comes confidence and motivation, which further keeps the momentum of learning going strong. When platforms for such interests are provided free of cost, learning just doesn’t end in knowing and often finds ways to get translated into useful outcomes.
With the digital space growing and extending its reach to almost all fields, every consumer of it from any corner of the world is more than ever keen to learn about what is digital so that they can in some way also be producers of some content. Sayoni Aktar Banu, a student residing in Panditpur Village in Nadia District, had a basic understanding of computers but wanted to enhance her understanding. Upon learning about the computer training offered free of charge by one of DEF’s centres, she enrolled herself under the Skills to Succeed Project supported by Accenture.
Through the program, Sayoni received comprehensive training in Digital Literacy, learning various computer tasks such as painting, WordPad, Microsoft Word, Excel, and more. With the guidance and support provided by the coordinator of the centre, Sayoni’s confidence in her computer skills grew, and she is grateful for the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
Sayoni’s newfound skills have opened up a world of opportunities for her. She now feels more prepared to take on higher education and future career prospects, knowing that her computer knowledge will be an asset in any field. Sayoni’s story is a testament to the power of education and its ability to transform lives.
