I am Kanaka Gogoi, residing in the vibrant village of Sivasagar, Assam. My passion lies in empowering rural women towards self-dependency. Through sharing my knowledge and experiences, I strive to uplift them, enabling livelihood opportunities. Organizing tailored training sessions such as tailoring and pickle making, I aim to equip them with essential skills for sustainable income generation. In our diverse community, where many are engaged in government jobs or traditional farming, I advocate for women’s economic participation to strengthen family support systems. Together, we’re fostering a culture of self-reliance and empowerment, one step at a time.”
