The Museum of Digital Society: A Living Archive of Digital Inclusion
The Education pillar of DEF’s Smartpur project has been focusing on experimental learning for children. Going ahead with the aim of learning through training and experiment, DEF’s Smartpur-project team, Ghazipur conducted one day STEM training of 80 children on 21st January 2021. STEM is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where academic concepts are integrated with real-life lessons. The training was on the subject of electricity, where children got an opportunity to learn about electricity by carrying out small experiments. They learnt about series resistance, diode, electric motor, resistors, RGB light and LED by doing hands-on experiment under the watchful eyes of the Smartpur team. Children were also taught how to use LED blink using Ohm’s resistance by giving them a thorough understanding of OHM’s law.
