In my community, many people are illiterate and lack access to correct information, leading them to rely on superstitions. Most villagers are farmers and heavily depend on agriculture. Floods often cause significant losses, affecting their decisions and depriving them of basic amenities. Their children cannot attend good schools, depriving them of quality education and proper nutrition. Upon joining the Digital Empowerment Foundation, I conducted meetings with women in my community, educating them about online marketing through platforms like Facebook, Amazon, and Flipkart. Additionally, I addressed menstruation taboo by educating women about menstrual hygiene, as this topic was previously considered taboo. Many misconceptions existed due to lack of proper information. Through meetings, I explained menstruation as a natural gift and debunked various myths. I also inform my community about government schemes like income certificates, caste certificates, ration cards, pension schemes, and Aadhaar card services, enabling them to access banking facilities without physically visiting banks. Furthermore, I promote digital literacy, educating people about online banking and smartphone usage, empowering them digitally.
