Sajiya provides a platform to all relevant stakeholders to take part in the economic improvement of the cattle-rearing enterprises in her village.
In an endeavour to create sustainable models to support the rural business ecosystem, the involvement of stakeholders in the process is considered to be one of the most important steps under the Udyamini Program. Our SoochnaPreneur Business Mitra Centers are working towards establishing themselves as a central point of contact to bring all stakeholders together to support the Rural Women Entrepreneurs involved in various value chains in Assam and West Bengal under the Udyamini Program.
In this regard Ms. Sajiya Choudhury, a SoochnaPreneur Business Mitra from Malibari village of Bidhia Jajikona Block, Kamrup District was able to address the needs of the RWEs involved in Livestock value chain in Assam, by bringing the Veterinary Department to spread awareness on Scientific Goat and Cattle Rearing Techniques to expand their businesses and also organize vaccination camps for the deprived RWEs benefitting almost a group of 20 RWE’s having a population of 140 goats and cattle. She is also active in providing digital services through her business facilitation center and also catering to the information needs of the community at large.
Her SBM center is functioning as the last mile extension centers for various value chains besides the ICT value chain. She is now training these RWEs on how to navigate various online platforms to get information on schemes; insurance of livestock and vaccination schedules etc. Also, the RWEs are being trained on Digital Book keeping of accounts as an initial step towards formalization of their businesses.
