My community is representative of any local village area where land ownership is communal, with arable land distributed among households through permanent arrangements while excess land remains undivided. The village population sustain itself by engaging primarily in activities like agriculture, fishing, or livestock, with cultural and social structures supporting these livelihoods.
Our community grapples with various challenges such as adolescent pregnancy, limited access to clean water, instances of child abuse, crime, domestic violence, drug use, pollution, resource mismanagement, insufficient funding for schools and services, ethnic tensions, health disparities, increase in incidence of HIV/AIDS, hunger, and inadequate emergency services.
We understand the need for local innovation for the development and enhancement of our community to witness its progress and resilience, but are in need of support to address such glaring issues.
