About NEDF:

North East Development Foundation (NEDF) is a not-for-profit development-focused in consulting and participating organization contributing to aspects of sustainable development like livelihoods, natural resource management (NRM), and rural technology. It is focused on educational development, entrepreneurial skill development, vocational trainings, formation of SHGs, microfinance, gender and empowerment. It is focused on ICT applications for community development in the North East in every possible way. Since 2006, NEDF has implemented key socio-economic projects with a bottom up approach.

NEDF Mission:

The mission of North East Development Foundation (NEDF) is to make continuous efforts towards sustainable and targeted development for balanced development in the North East India. It is to make timely and qualitative interventions in various development activities vis-à-vis the limited resources at the disposal of communities. It would seek partnerships from institutions, organizations, governments in preparing development strategies for the region and take part in its implementation.

NEDF Vision:

NEDF vision is to see that its continuous efforts in development interventions in the region in areas like education, livelihood, ‘technology for development’ (T4D), sustainable development and the like enables the rise of empowered youths, women, groups and communities in North East India.  The vision of NEDF is to see that local communities carry on their livelihood interventions on a sustainable and qualitative basis through assistance and able guidance from external sources.
