A report on the Workshop on Digital Presence for NGOs
The first regional launch of the .NGO Domain was held on 7 July 2015 at the Galaxy Hotel, Gorakhpur.
Digital Empowerment Foundation in partnership with Yuva Vikas Samiti and Hindustan Chaturdik Vikas Samiti organised the event. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Vibhuti Kushvasha, MNERGA Lokpal accompanied with Shashi Bhushan, Director – Pani organization.
Mr. Vibhuti Kushvaha and Shashi Bhushan were accompanied with Anand Kumar, Sr. Project Executive,eNGO.
Heads of various grass-root organisations had gathered to learn, share and together empower digitally vast hinterlands of India.
Mr.Vibuti Kushvaha said that power lies in technology as without it NGOs cannot be tracked on the world map. Mr. Shashi Bhushan also had similar thoughts and said that Internet is a great tool to exchange information, activities and projects which further help organizations in validations and fundraising.
The Gorakhpur .NGO Launch event was followed by the National Launch in New Delhi.
The journey has just begun!
The next regional Launch event was held on 19 August 2015 at Hotel Atithi, Puducherry.
