My name is Puja Dubey, and I reside in Bhimapar village, located in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. In our community, I have noticed several challenges that need to be addressed to improve the overall well-being of our residents, like the lack of awareness and participation in financial literacy programs and government schemes during camps organized in our village. Furthermore, the presence of individuals consuming alcohol during such events occasionally poses challenges and disrupts the atmosphere. Recognizing the urgent need to address substance abuse and raise awareness about its detrimental effects, I have taken it upon myself to initiate various initiatives targeting this issue. As a computer teacher, I actively engage with underprivileged children in our community through outreach programs. I provide free computer education to children whose parents cannot afford the fees, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to enhance their digital skills. Additionally, I conduct extra classes for those who are lagging behind, aiming to bridge the digital divide and empower our youth with essential skills for the future. With the invaluable support of the Digital Empowerment Foundation, I have undertaken several projects to ensure that all segments of our community benefit from camp initiatives. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I actively participated in the RCCE project, conducting door-to-door campaigns, distributing masks, and educating women about hygiene and menstrual health through the Digital Didi project.
