I’m Sangeeta from Berla, Alwar. In our community, transportation is a major issue, with no means available for long-distance travel. Women face unemployment challenges beyond agriculture. To tackle gender bias, I established a Girls Resource Center, empowering girls mentally and physically, promoting self-defense, and advocating for equal participation. Through community engagement, attitudes have shifted, enabling girls’ involvement in various activities. Previously restricted, they’re now prioritized for events. Addressing water scarcity, I led a successful protest, resulting in the installation of a borewell within two days. These efforts aim to address critical community needs and foster positive change.
