To support her family and education, Sumitra took on various roles, teaching at night and working during the day. Her husband’s job as a driver posed financial challenges for their family, but Sumitra’s relentless pursuit of opportunities to improve her life never wavered.
Her path led her to a Basic computer course at a SoochnaPreneur training centre, where she excelled. Sumitra’s dedication caught the eye of others, and she soon became a SheCatalyst, handpicking fifteen learners based on strict criteria.
Now, Sumitra is on the verge of launching her own centre from her home. Her passion lies in providing digital literacy to women in her village, assisting them with entitlement forms, and equipping them with digital skills for a brighter future. She is offering photocopy and printing services at reasonable rates, making life more convenient for her community and generating income for herself.
Sumitra also plans to bridge the knowledge gap by raising awareness about rights and government provisions in her community. She envisions simplifying money transfers for villagers, saving them time and expenses.
