Stepping forward towards an information rich India
2014 has been a remarkable journey for Soochna Seva. With ardent effort and contribution of the team there are now 25 fully functioning centers successfully set up at the five targeted locations Tehri District (Uttarakhand), Barmer District (Rajasthan), Ranchi District (Jharkhand), Guna District (Madhya Pradesh) and West Champaran District (Bihar) equipped with furniture, Laptops, PCs, LCD, Projector, Printer, etc. Soochna Seva has been successful in reaching to over 17,222 people out them 13136 have to availed the benefits of schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Old Age Pension Scheme, Widow pension Scheme, Disability Pension scheme, Kissan Pension, MGNREGA, Gaura davi kanya dhan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Indira Awas Yojana, Janni Suraksha Yojana and many more (Birth/Death Certificate, Caste Certificate, Pension from Bank, BPL, UID/Aadhar, etc.)
Recently communication and visibility workshop was held on 21st-23rd December 2014 at Ranchi aimed at capacity building of the ground team in order to seek better results in terms of information dissemination of entitlements. The three days extensive agenda has been designed in a way to engage the team in a successful delivery of a well-rounded training program. This was first of its kind where the proper involvement of ground staff has taken place, resulted in a successful completion. It has also ensured that the team is clearer about the objectives, motive and the whole intervention of Soochna Seva. Apart from this it involved seeking inputs from the ground team regarding the Intelligence Search System, Mera App, Beneficiary Card, Directory of Schemes and Media Tools i.e. Video, Audio, Posters, Jingles, Photography, IEC material, etc. developed so far.
There were 3 broad themes of the workshop which are to be called as the key highlights i.e. Major & Effective Entitlements/Schemes, Modes, Mediums and Methodologies and Redressal Mechanism & RTI. Throwing lights to the 3 areas not only helped in ensuring effective implementation and proper management of the programme but it has also brought transparency and thereby credibility to the overall implementation at the ground. Each session was more interactive, each participant provided inputs/comments/suggestions and facilitator resolved the same meanwhile.
