SoochnaPreneurs are the problem solvers of the local communities. The culture has been set up in such a way that people find it comfortable to get their issues resolved at SoochnaPreneur centre.
Nikhat Jabee Ansari is DEF’s SoochnaPrenuer working for the communities of the Moraghat Tea Garden. She is known for her intense and active efforts in providing and helping the people of Moraghat Tea Garden with their day-to-day tasks. Nikhat was born and brought up in this tea garden. After completing her graduation, she started her journey as a social worker. She understands the needs and technicalities of the tea garden communities. She is liaising with various government departments so that the schemes and entitlements reach the community.
After taking the training and capacity building sessions, her ability and scope to help the locals has magnified. She has her own SoochnaPreneur centre which provides services under the pillars of finance, governance, education, and livelihood.
The Moraghat tea garden now has access to services like mini-ATM, online PAN application, passport size photograph print, photocopy and printout. Moreover, residents of this area are getting the facilities of availing benefits from different government schemes.
Nikhat shares, “I am happy that I can serve my people. It feels like I am a problem solver for my community. Men and women give my example to their kids. I am learning each day here and I plan to expand my SoochnaPrenuer centre. I am enjoying the journey of being a social entrepreneur.”
