The problem in our community is that our village is located far from the town in a hilly area, causing us to miss out on government schemes. Being far from the city makes traveling difficult, leading to a low level of education in our area. Due to the lack of urban centers, many people are unemployed, and many migrate, staying away for six months and returning for another six months to farm. Some leave their homes locked for long periods, causing challenges in this hilly region.
Through our organization, Digital Empowerment Foundation, we provide information and services. We introduce online services so people aren’t left behind in the digital age. We help them understand online tasks, saving time and money. Previously, people would stand in line at banks all day to withdraw money, but now they can withdraw funds quickly through digital banking. People can send and receive money within five minutes over the phone, providing many conveniences.
Our community consists of diverse people, forming a small village where we all live together. In this small hilly village, I work as a bank correspondent to provide people with convenient banking services. I also run a Common Service Center (Pragya Kendra), offering various services such as issuing certificates, online ration cards, bill payments, insurance, land-related tasks, photo printing, photocopying, and more.
