Asha Viratsingh Parmar, a resident of Trasla village, whose inspiring journey of empowerment and entrepreneurship inspired her entire community.
Asha’s story began with a photocopy and printing service operated from her home. She had a vision to not only supplement her family’s income but also to craft a brighter future for herself and her loved ones. Her determination to break the barriers of conventionality and aspire for something greater burned brightly within her.
As Asha continued her small-scale venture, she began to realise the immense potential it held. It was more than just a means to an end; it was a stepping stone toward realizing her dreams. The dream that resonated deeply within her was to establish her own SP-CIRC (SoochnaPreneur Community Information Resource Centre) – a dream that held the promise of improving not only her own living conditions but also uplifting her entire community.
Asha recognised that this was her chance to make a lasting impact. With unwavering determination, she embarked on the challenging yet rewarding journey of becoming a SoochnaPreneur, a beacon of information and empowerment in her village.
The path was not easy, but Asha was not alone in her pursuit of empowerment. Digital Empowerment Foundation helped her in providing invaluable support and essential resources. With their guidance, Asha worked tirelessly to establish her own SP-CIRC center, becoming a source of vital information for her community.
Over time, Asha’s SP-CIRC became a hub of knowledge, providing essential services, information, and resources to the residents of Tralsa village. Whether it was helping students access educational materials or assisting farmers with agricultural information, Asha’s center played a pivotal role in transforming her community’s access to information.
