Dheeraj, a student from the Ramnagar Centre, is currently in 11th standard but he embarked on his digital literacy journey when he was in 9th standard. Before joining the digital literacy classes, he had only a basic understanding of computers. However, under the guidance of Mrs Shivani Thakur, he gained in-depth knowledge about computer applications, input and output devices, and cybersecurity through interactive and practical sessions.
One of the most notable improvements in Dheeraj’s learning experience over the years was his typing speed, which improved significantly with regular practice. His exposure to HTML and CSS during the digital literacy sessions sparked his interest in web development, providing him with a strong foundation in JavaScript, including variables, operators, and loops.
Being grateful for this transformative opportunity provided by the Digital Empowerment Foundation and DIGI-LAMP project, Dheeraj hopes for the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its applications, and Python programming in future sessions, enabling him and his peers to expand their digital expertise and explore new technological frontiers.
