In our community, it used to be very difficult for people to get things done. There was no nearby service center, no photocopy machines, and people faced various challenges. They didn’t know about old-age pensions or how to apply for them.
We have introduced local innovations such as creating ration cards, paying electricity bills, issuing income certificates, recharging mobiles and Dish TV, providing Ayushman Bharat benefits, computer courses, money transfers, and tribal certificates. These services were not previously available in most villages, but since joining DEF, we have brought these services to our community.
We have worked on many initiatives in our village, such as entering data into the My App, informing people about various government schemes, and helping with applications for farmers’ welfare schemes, caste certificates, pension forms, insurance, disability certificates, and UDI ID cards for disabled individuals. Many people who couldn’t access these benefits before have been helped since I joined DEF.
