Over the past (number) months she has been trained in how to use digital tools to expand and increase the reach of her bangle business. She has specifically been using WhatsApp to reach out to her customers. While sharing her experience she said, ‘’Mera business training ke baad kafi bad gaya hai, WhatsApp ke istamal se mujhe naye customers tak pahunch ne ka mauka mila hai jiska main pura istamal kar rahi hun apne business ko badane ke liye (the digital training has helped in expansion of my business. Using WhatsApp has enabled me to reach out to new customers)’’. She has also gained digital financial literacy through the training; she now understands the importance of eWallets, digital banking and the measures one needs to take to do this safely.
Not only has she increased the revenue of her business but she has also been able to give digital literacy training to her husband and children. All members of the family can now use a smartphone easily. By training one woman in digital tools, DEF’s entrepreneur Aarti has been able to increase the reach of digital education to one whole family.
